Heaters
Most people do not associate the Houston area as a place requiring portable heaters. Certainly in the summer months, artificial heat sources are far from anyone’s mind. However, during the wintertime, it is possible for icing and occasionally, snowing conditions. One overnight freeze can cause large problems for your business, facility, and/or equipment. Workers in large buildings can also suffer in their productivity if they must work in a near freezing environment. Look to Alklean when you need temporary heating for smaller areas, or to directly keep equipment warm. We have many styles of heaters with different types of energy use to create the heat. OIL FIRED INFRARED RADIANT HEATERS
These are the most technologically advanced type of heater available today. Based on solar heating principals, radiant heat is not redirected by wind. Heat is directed where you need it. In many cases, these heaters are also used for paint drying, and warming areas for work activity. Available in 50,000, 125,000 and 146,000 BTU/HR
DIRECT OIL FIRED HEATERS
(Also available in propane fired version) Sometimes known as salamander heaters, the direct oil fired heater is one that will cover a large area in a small amount of time. For use in very open and well ventilated spaces, this type of heater will help warm up an area in quick time. Available up to 389,000 BTU/hr.
INDIRECT OIL FIRED HEATERS
When an area is not well vented, or heat is desired to “build up” in an area, these ventilated heaters work very well. Small shops, cabins, event tents (open bottom style tents) can be warmed up to make a comfortable atmosphere. The warm air is “ducted” into the space requiring the heat, while the actual heater and venting remain outside in a well-ventilated area. Available up to 250,000 BTU/hr.
PROPANE/NATURAL GAS DIRECTIONAL HEATERS
For large areas, including indoors, these efficient heaters will keep the work moving, or the part going. Available with natural gas or propane burners, these units are excellent when the weatherman predicts a “long” cold spell! Available up to 350,000 BTU/hr.
